Jeremy Crosmer plays Bach for the Chamber Music Society

Jeremy performs J.S. Bach's Cello Suite No. 1. The Arkansas native was supposed to perform an evening recital on April 9th and a concerto with the Symphony Youth Orchestra on April 10th. He will be back in Arkansas to take part in the Faulkner Chamber Music Festival later in the summer, currently scheduled July 24 through Aug. 2 at UA-Little Rock.

Message to the ASYO from Jeremy Crosmer

Cellist Jeremy Crosmer tells us a bit about the piece he was scheduled to perform with the Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra this week. He then plays the opening of the solo cello part to the Paul Hindemith 1940 Cello Concerto. Mr. Crosmer was to participate in the Chamber Music Society's annual youth orchestra residency this April.

Recent News

Our April 2020 concerts have been canceled.

Our April 9th and 10th concerts featuring cellist Jeremy Crosmer have been canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak and in light of recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, and the Arkansas Department of Health to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Currently, the CDC recommends people, especially those who have a higher risk of developing more serious complications, practice social distancing and avoid crowds.  We aim to reschedule the concerts later this year and are exploring options to hopefully  provide students a virtual online mini-masterclass hosted by Mr. Crosmer in the coming weeks.

The Chamber Music Society of Little Rock will continue its mission of bringing unique chamber music experiences to Central Arkansas once it is deemed safe to do so by health officials. Thank you for your ongoing support. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you next season!
